Hi lovely Münchner:innen,

The summer holidays have started, and you can feel it. This is the first week the city really begins to empty out. Leisure events are picking up just as the business calendar slips into its summer lull, and half of Munich is in the Englischer Garten, up in the mountains, at the lake, or already at the airport.

No worries, though, I've pulled together a few picks to keep your week full.

Have a great start into the week! ☀️

Were was [her]e last week?

High performance has a cycle. - Cycle Positivity

An evening experience brought to life by Women at Amazon and the Women's Health Workstream, together with Frauen Verbinden (the executive network of Messe München). Alissia Quaintance, founder of Cycle Positivity GmbH, took us through the physiology and the culture in one breath, and then Carolin Froehlich (Head of HR Germany & Emerging Markets, Amazon) and Dr. Susanne Hennigers (Frauen verbinden, Messe München) joined for a conversation.

[her]e picks of the week 03.08-09.08

Tuesday, 04.08

  • Early Bird Business Breakfast - Summer Edition | 8:30am | We start into the day together on Tuesday, 04.08.2026, at 8:30am at Cotidiano am Gärtnerplatz, with lively conversations, a relaxed breakfast, and the chance to meet new female entrepreneurs and deepen existing connections.

  • PANDA Dinner Club der Medienbranche | 5:30pm - 8:30pm | The PANDA Dinner Club invites you to wind down the day in a relaxed atmosphere with other PANDAs. The focus is on personal exchange, exciting topics, and inspiring encounters that resonate long afterward.

  • Made in Munich: Product Design Night | 6:30pm - 10pm | Tacto and Scalable Capital invite Munich's product design scene to talk about exactly that. The core of the evening is a debate called "Slop Doesn't Ship". Four theses on craft, taste and AI. You vote on each one by show of hands. On stage: designers from two companies where design mistakes cost real money.

  • From Research to Startup Night | 7pm - 10pm | Climate tech needs more than emission reductions. To reach net zero, and eventually move beyond it, we need credible ways to remove carbon, store it, and turn it into scalable climate solutions. 🌍

This evening is for everyone curious about the emerging carbon economy: researchers, founders, operators, investors, and students who want to understand what is worth building across decarbonization, carbon removal, capture, storage, and utilization.

Wednesday, 05.09

  • Munich Padel Club - Afterwork Edition @ Casa Padel Pineapple Park | 8pm - 9:30pm | This event is for all levels. We don’t care about your origin, gender, age, overall fitness level or anything else. In case the level of players should be very different we will accordingly put those with similar levels together so you neither need to be afraid that the level is too high nor that it will be boring for you. Up til now everyone managed to have fun no matter if you’re a beginner or a world class player - everyone is equally welcome.

  • Frauenkarriere durch die Zeit | 7:30pm | Together with author Annegret Braun, we want to leaf through her book "Die Sekretärin. Frauenkarriere und Lebensträume in den 1950er-Jahren" (The Secretary: Women's Careers and Life Dreams in the 1950s). We invite you to discuss with us the dreams of back then and the reality of today. Let's find out together which of these old patterns we've already shed, and which we still need to break through today.

Thursday, 06.08

  • Female Founders Contest 2026 | 2:30pm - 4:30pm | At the Bavarian finale of the Female Founders Contest 2026, Bavaria's best female founders present their startups to a jury and audience. Experience innovative business ideas, exciting technologies, and inspiring entrepreneurs up close.

  • Sommerfest von MTZ und BayStartUP | 5pm - 10pm | Dear founders, investors, partners, and startup friends, we warmly invite you to the summer party of the Munich Technology Center (MTZ) together with BayStartUP — the highlight of the 2026 startup summer!

  • no-networking | For our first event in Munich, the beautiful Haus12 is opening its doors to us, and in Alisha Bartel we have a keynote speaker who inspires me incredibly. She is a neurodivergent coach, trainer for female leadership, content creator, podcaster, speaker, and mom. Or, as she'd put it herself: an absolute Slash Girl. Alisha talks about why it's a myth that we have to commit to a single role or identity. Why versatility isn't a career risk, but one of our greatest strengths. And why we need to stop letting ourselves be put into boxes.

  • Mobility Experts Stammtisch - AfterWork | 5:30pm - 7pm | At UnternehmerTUM Mobility, we bring together relevant players from our mobility ecosystem and accelerate exchange and inspiration for exciting mobility projects within our community. The goal is to network in a relaxed atmosphere and exchange ideas; accompanied, of course, by drinks and dinner. You can also look forward to an ideal opportunity to learn what the mobility community @MunichUrbanColab is currently working on and to present your own topics and activities.

  • FidAR Süd "AfterWork" | 6pm | In a relaxed atmosphere, we want to get to know one another, exchange ideas, and network — with no agenda at all, but with real conversations and room for exchange among like-minded people.
