Hi lovely Münchner:innen,

Last weekend was a scorcher, hope you all treated yourselves to a proper cool-down in the Eisbach.

There's really nothing like summer in this city: wild parties on the Praterinsel, brilliant events, and the most wonderful people. And it doesn't stop this week, I've pulled together a handful of great events for you, plus a recap of last week.

Have a great start into the week! ☀️

Where was [her]e last week?

no-networking finally made it to Munich (at HAUS12)

A warm hello from Nadine Obermeier, founder of no-networking, who shared her recap with us:

Our first no-networking event in Munich honestly exceeded even our expectations. From the very first moment, there was that special openness that defines our community. There was laughter, sharing, new connections being made, exactly the kind of conversations that happen when no one feels they have to prove themselves. A real highlight was the talk by Alisha, who reminded us that we don't have to commit to a single role. That versatility isn't a weakness but a strength, and that we shouldn't let ourselves be put in boxes. A topic that stayed with many of us long afterward. And of course, we can't forget the incredibly delicious smoothies from HAUS12, which, together with the beautiful location, created the perfect setting for the evening. But what stays with us most is the atmosphere. Seeing how openly and warmly all the participants connected with one another confirms, time and again, exactly why we brought
no-networking to life.Munich, you were simply wonderful. We can't wait to come back very soon.

[her]e picks of the week 10.08-16.08

Monday, 10.08

  • Financial Independence Through the Right Contracts | 6:30pm - 8:30pm | Family law attorney Renate Maltry shows in her talk how smart contract design can strengthen financial independence, prevent conflict, and safeguard modern ways of living, from rethinking prenups as empowerment rather than taboo, to financial fairness in partnerships, to protecting care work. An evening about self-determination, legal planning, and the opportunities of a modern approach to family law.

  • Co-Founder Matching Night | 7pm - 9pm | The place where entrepreneurs, visionaries, and makers meet to find the perfect co-founder and bring bold ideas to life. Whether you're an aspiring founder with a game-changing idea, an early-stage startup completing your founding team, or a talented maker eager to co-create a venture from scratch, you're in the right place. Expect a structured format, meaningful conversations, and real connections, everything you need to take the first step toward building something amazing together.

Tuesday, 11.08

  • PANDA Dinner Club | 6:30pm - 10pm | Wind down the day in a relaxed setting alongside other PANDAs, over good food and even better conversation. Expect meaningful exchange, thought-provoking topics, and the kind of connections that stay with you long after the evening ends.

  • Mindbird Breathwork Circle with Bodywork | 7pm - 9pm | An evening of conscious connected breathwork and bodywork: through the breath, you come into contact with whatever is alive in you right now, while the body gets to release what's been building up. For anyone who wants to feel themselves more deeply, no prior experience needed, in a deliberately small group.

Wednesday, 12.08

  • After-Work Picnic for Self-Employed Women & Founders 6:30pm - 8:30pm | Being your own boss means freedom and self-determination, and sometimes just: fewer people who get what you're talking about. That's exactly what this evening is for. The münchner frauenforum and guide invite self-employed women and everyone who wants to become one to a relaxed after-work picnic by the Isar. Once we've found a nice spot, we'll start with a round of introductions and dive straight into honest conversation — about the wonderful sense of freedom, the doubts that come with it, and everything in between. Bring something to eat or drink so we can build a colorful buffet for everyone.

  • Claude Impact Lab | 9am - 5pm | No panel, no pitch, just small groups working it through. Now we build something out of it: a full day turning that conversation into a real, local answer, grounded in what the room actually said about creativity, pressure, judgment as the new scarce resource, and who risks getting left behind. You don't need to be technical to be useful — the best teams are mixed. Anthropic is providing $200 in Claude API credits to every participant.

  • Munich Padel Club - Afterwork Edition @ Casa Padel Pineapple Park | 6:15pm - 8:15pm | This event is for all levels. We don’t care about your origin, gender, age, overall fitness level or anything else. In case the level of players should be very different we will accordingly put those with similar levels together so you neither need to be afraid that the level is too high nor that it will be boring for you. Up til now everyone managed to have fun no matter if you’re a beginner or a world class player - everyone is equally welcome.

Thursday, 13.08

  • Young BPW Summer of Confidence | 7pm - 9pm | Confidence isn't luck, it's a mindset, and one worth celebrating together. Join the Young BPW Stammtisch aboard the Alte Utting, where the unique setting of the former excursion ship sets the stage for easy conversations about strengths, courage, and self-assurance. Come as you are, straight from work or in full after-hours mode, for cool drinks, good snacks, and a summer evening spent topping up your confidence. Spots are limited, so please cancel at least three days ahead if you can't make it.

  • Afterwork Professionals & Startups | 7pm - 10pm | A monthly afterwork event with an open bar and a small, handpicked group of young professionals and top talent from companies like PwC, Microsoft, SAP, Google, Deloitte, and startups. In a relaxed setting, you'll meet interesting people from product, tech, and finance and swap stories over drinks. Access to the WhatsApp community happens on site, and if the price is a stretch but you really want to join, a quick private message sorts it out.

Sunday, 16.08

  • The Summer Affair | 10:30am - 3pm | Sip & Share celebrates two years with their biggest event of the year, teaming up with the Scheck Club for a day of padel and poolside pilates, an inspiring panel of women who've turned crises into strength, and a DJ pool party with drinks, snacks, and a Martini Bar.
